Apply for your provisional licence

Book your theory test

You’ll need your licence number, an email address and a credit/debit card to make the payment.


The theory test costs £23. Beware of bogus websites charging you more. 


It’s worth remembering that all Oh Savvy instructors are happy to help you book your theory test. Please just ask.

Book your practical test

You’ll need your licence number and a credit /debit card.


The Practical Test costs £62 for a weekday test and £75 for weekends and bank holidays. Beware of bogus websites charging you more. 


It’s worth remembering that all Oh Savvy instructors are happy to help you book your practical test. In fact, we actually prefer it as it helps us manage our diary. ALWAYS check your instructor is available before booking your test. 

Show me, tell me questions

You’ll be asked one tell me question at the start of your driving test, and one show me question during the test.  


Please familiarise yourself with the questions and discuss them with your instructor.

Get a licence check code

Your instructor will ask you for a licence check code before you can start driving. This allows us to verify your licence is valid and is a requirement of a lot of insurance companies. 


Use this link: Get your check code


You’ll need your licence number, your national insurance number and your postcode. Once entered, click on the “get your check code” tab. The code is case sensitive and should look something like this: nR 3W f5 TZ
