Your Journey to Safe Driving Starts Here

First step is to get a provisional license

You can apply for your first provisional license aged 15 years and 9 months, although you can’t start driving a car until you’re 17 (or 16 if you get, or have applied for, the enhanced rate of the mobility component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP))

You must be able to read a number plate from 20 metres and have permission to live in Great Britain for at least 185 days.

You can apply online here

It costs £34 if you apply online or £43 if you apply by post. Beware of bogus websites charging you more.
